Breakout Core Pro Suite is the flagship ZynIQ breakout tool. It contains everything in Breakout Pro + Helper (profiles, trend, strength, higher-timeframe and volume filters, retest helper, tracked Risk Helper) and adds A / B / C grading of every breakout, fakeout detection with a “breakout after a fakeout” state, and a context dashboard (trend score, volatility state, volume and flow, location) whose readings feed the grade. By default only A and B breakouts are shown (C can be switched on), and there are alerts per grade.

How it works

  1. Profile. Intraday (default): range 20 bars, buffer 0.1 x ATR, spacing 5, EMA 20/50, ADX(14) at least 20. Scalping: 12, 0.05, 3, EMA 9/21, ADX 18. Swing: 40, 0.15, 5, EMA 50/200, ADX 20. Custom: your values.
  2. The break. A closed candle whose close clears the previous range’s high (LONG) or low (SHORT) by the buffer (ATR or ticks), with a high-to-low size of at least 0.5 x ATR(14). On intraday charts the first bar after a time gap of more than 1.5 bars cannot signal.
  3. Filters (as Breakout Pro), all off by default because the grade does the filtering: EMA trend (close and fast EMA on the right side of the slow EMA), ADX at or above the profile threshold, higher-timeframe EMA trend on the last closed higher bar (chosen automatically), relative volume at least 1.0 (same time of day), volatility, session, premium/discount and maximum break distance. Trend, volume, volatility and location still count towards the grade when their filters are off.
  4. Grade. Each breakout scores points:
    • Displacement (the breakout candle’s body in ATRs): 1.0 or more = 2, 0.6 or more = 1.
    • Volume (RVOL): 1.5 or more = 2, 1.1 or more = 1. No volume data = 1 (neutral).
    • Trend (trend score, see the dashboard): +2 or more in the break’s direction = 2, +1 = 1.
    • Compression (volatility on the bar before the break, ATR versus its 100-bar average): below 0.75 = 2, below 0.95 = 1. A quiet range before the break scores higher.
    • Location (the broken level in the 100-bar range): a LONG from the lower half or a SHORT from the upper half = 1.
    • After a fakeout (a break the other way failed within the last 20 bars) = 1.
    • Total out of 10: 7 or more = A, 4 or more = B, below 4 = C (both marks adjustable). With “Show grades: A and B only” (the default) or “A only”, lower grades are skipped completely: no label, no ladder, no retest or fakeout watch, no alert. Set “A, B and C” to see every graded break.
  5. Spacing and direction. Profile spacing; the opposite direction always allowed; a same-direction signal needs a fresh range (the whole range formed after the last signal and the broken level held at least 3 bars), unless “Flip only”.
  6. Fakeout watch. After a signal, if any of the next 3 closed bars closes back past the broken level (back inside the range), the break is a Fakeout (marked and alerted). If not, it is Held. A valid signal the other way within 20 bars of a fakeout is tagged after fakeout.
  7. Entry helper. Zone at the broken level plus and minus 0.25 x ATR; after price has closed beyond it, a dip back into the zone that closes back on the breakout side of the level = Retest (first only). A close through the far side = Failed; 20 bars without either = No retest.
  8. Risk Helper from the signal bar’s close.

Everything is decided when the candle closes; history and live behave the same.

The context dashboard

  • Trend score from -3 to +3: close above (+1) or below (-1) the fast EMA, fast EMA above (+1) or below (-1) the slow EMA, slow EMA rising (+1) or falling (-1). Shown with the higher-timeframe trend.
  • Volatility state: ATR(14) divided by its 100-bar average. Below 0.75 Compressed, below 0.95 Quiet, below 1.25 Normal, below 1.6 Expanding, otherwise High.
  • Volume and flow: RVOL (worked out as for the filter, same time of day by default, whether or not the filter is on) and Money Flow Index (14, typical price): above 60 buying, below 40 selling, otherwise balanced.
  • Location: where the close sits in the 100-bar range, as Discount (lower half) or Premium (upper half) with a percentage.

The Risk Helper

  • Levels. ATR mode (default): stop 1.0 x ATR(14), targets 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 x ATR(14) from the entry at the signal bar; Percent and Points modes available; tick-rounded; each target at least as far as the one before.
  • Tracking. From the next bar, each closed bar’s high and low; stop touched = Stopped; targets reached = hit; stop and target in one bar = stop first.
  • Ending. Stop or last target (Done), new signal (Closed), 100 bars (Expired). Optional stop to entry from the bar after TP1 (with more than one target). A fakeout does not close the ladder: it is a warning, the stop is the exit plan.
  • History. Current ladder plus the last 5.
  • No win rates or performance figures.

What you see on the chart

  • Signal labels: “LONG A”, “SHORT B” and so on (teal under the candle for longs, fuchsia over the candle for shorts). Grade B labels are slightly paler and grade C paler still (grade C appears only with “Show grades: A, B and C”). A second line reads “after fakeout” when it applies; with premium/discount tags, a line such as “Discount 32%”. Hover for the full grade breakdown.
  • Fakeout label (amber, small) on the bar that closed back inside the range.
  • EMA cloud between the fast and slow EMA: teal when the fast EMA is above, fuchsia when below. EMA lines: fast (by trend colour), slow (grey).
  • Range box per signal, retest zone and Retest label, as in Breakout Pro; live range lines (faint grey steps) if you switch them on (off by default).
  • Session shading (session filter on), equilibrium line (if switched on).
  • Risk Helper ladder: entry dotted cyan, stop dashed amber, targets dashed in the signal colour, each with a price tag at the right end of its line. A level that is hit turns solid and thicker, and its own tag changes to “TP1 hit 31231.00”, “SL hit …” or “Stop at entry hit …” (no separate hit labels on the candles). With “Move stop to entry after TP1”, a new amber stop line starts at the entry and the SL tag reads “SL (entry)”.
  • HUD (dark panel, top right by default, 8 rows):
    • Title, profile and Risk Helper mode.
    • Signal (direction and grade of the last signal) and Status of the trade.
    • Entry and SL, TP1 and TP2.
    • TP3 and Break state: Testing (inside the fakeout window), Held, Fakeout, After fakeout (“, retested” is added after a retest).
    • Trend (score, plus the higher-timeframe trend, which reads “HTF off” while that filter is off, the default) and Volatility (state and ratio).
    • Volume (RVOL and flow) and Location.
    • Notes: next trigger levels (“Next: long above …, short below …”), “showing A and B only” (by default), and any notes for filters you switch on (session in or out, session filter off on daily charts, HTF filter off, no volume data, RVOL collecting same-time data).
  • Watermark: “ZynIQ Core Pro Suite”, faint, bottom right.

Alerts

All alerts fire once, when the candle closes. Create them with Alert, Condition “ZQ Core Pro Suite”, then:

  • “Any alert() function call” (recommended): every event with a detailed message. Signals include the grade, “after a fakeout” when it applies, range, profile, location tag, entry, stop and targets; fakeouts include the broken level; retests the level and zone; TP and stop hits the full ladder.
  • Or a single condition, trigger “Once per bar close”:
    • Grade A long, Grade A short, Grade B long, Grade B short, Grade C long, Grade C short (grade C alerts fire only with “Show grades: A, B and C”)
    • Grade A or B (either way): a good shortlist alert.
    • Long breakout (any grade), Short breakout (any grade): any grade that “Show grades” lets through
    • Fakeout, Breakout after a fakeout, Retest
    • TP1 hit, TP2 hit, TP3 hit, Stop hit

Tip: with the default “Show grades: A and B only”, the “Any alert() function call” alert covers only A and B breaks. To keep all grades on the chart, set “A, B and C” and alert only on “Grade A or B (either way)”.

Set it up for your market

Market Timeframes Profile Key settings Notes
Index futures (MNQ, NQ, MES, ES) 1m to 5m; 5m to 15m Scalping; Intraday Defaults. Session 09:30-16:00 New York for cash-session only trading. Globex reopens 18:00 New York after a 1-hour halt (gap bar skipped). Delayed data without a real-time CME subscription. Same-time RVOL starts after about 3 sessions of history.
Stocks 5m, 15m; 1h, daily Intraday; Swing Defaults. Daily: HTF weekly, RVOL on recent bars. Regular-hours charts give cleaner volume readings than extended hours.
Forex 15m, 1h; 4h Intraday; Swing Session for London or New York hours if wanted. Tick volume only (relative measure). On no-volume feeds the volume part of the grade is neutral (1 point) and the flow reads “no volume data”.
Crypto 15m, 1h; 4h, daily Intraday; Swing Volatility filter on to skip dead hours. 24/7: no gaps; the default session is Monday to Friday if you switch the filter on.

How to use it

  1. Start with the defaults (Intraday profile, A and B grades shown, trend and volume filters off). To see how C breaks behave on your market too, set “Show grades” to “A, B and C” for a while.
  2. Read the dashboard before a break: a Compressed or Quiet volatility state with a strong trend score is the classic set-up that tends to produce higher grades; a High volatility state means wide ranges and bigger risk per trade.
  3. If you show grade C, treat it as information, not a trade, until you have your own reasons to take them; that is why the default shows A and B only.
  4. After a signal, watch the Break state: Testing for the first 3 bars, then Held. A Fakeout is a warning that the break failed; the ladder stays on (your stop is your exit plan), and a break the other way soon after is tagged “after fakeout”.
  5. Use the Retest marker for a second-chance entry near the broken level.

Common mistakes: turning every filter on and also showing A only (very few signals), reading the grade as a probability (it is a checklist score, not a forecast), and ignoring the higher-timeframe note when the filter switches itself off.

Pairs well with: Market Regime Master Pro and Volatility Master Pro (deeper regime and volatility reads), Market Structure Master and Liquidity Master (structure and liquidity around the break), Order Block Master. Use them side by side; this tool does not read their values.

Good to know

  • Confirmation: signals, grades, fakeouts, retests and hits are decided when the candle closes. A Fakeout is known only after the failing candle closes (within 3 bars of the signal).
  • The grade is a checklist score, not a probability or a forecast. No win rates or performance figures are shown anywhere.
  • “Integration with the volatility and regime tools”: TradingView indicators cannot read each other’s values directly, so v3 builds its own volatility state, trend score and flow reading into the grade instead, using the same ideas as those tools. Copy to change: the old wording “closer integration with the volatility and regime tools” should become “built-in volatility, trend and flow context”.
  • Same-time RVOL (used by the volume grade and the RVOL filter) needs about 3 sessions of history per bar time; until then recent bars are used. With the RVOL filter on, the HUD says “collecting same-time data”.
  • No-volume symbols: the volume grade is neutral (1 point) and the HUD’s Volume row reads “no volume data”; with the RVOL filter on, it passes and the notes say so.
  • HTF filter off when the higher timeframe is not above the chart; the HUD says why.
  • Ladder checks use closed bars’ highs and lows; stop first if both are touched. No fills, slippage or spreads modelled.
  • Limits: one higher-timeframe request; up to 500 labels (oldest removed first on long histories); boxes and ladders capped by their settings.
  • Not financial advice; the decisions and the risk stay yours.

Version 3 changes

  • It is a breakout tool now. v2 had no breakout signals and no alerts at all: it was a dashboard (trend, ATR % volatility, volume and money flow, premium/discount) with an EMA cloud. v3 is built on the full Breakout Pro engine.
  • Graded breakouts (promised “displacement-aware grading”): every breakout scores up to 10 points for displacement, volume, trend, compression before the break, location and a fakeout the other way, and is graded A, B or C.
  • Fakeout detection and the “continuation from a likely fakeout” state (promised): a break that closes back inside the range within 3 bars is marked Fakeout and alerted; a valid break the other way soon after is tagged “after fakeout”, earns a grade point and has its own alert.
  • Volatility state fixed. v2 graded volatility by fixed ATR % of price (ATR under 0.5% of price was always “Very Low”, so intraday MNQ and forex never left it). v3 compares ATR with its own recent average, so every market reads correctly.
  • Money flow fixed. v2 computed MFI on the close; v3 uses the typical price (high, low, close), as MFI is defined. No-volume symbols show “no volume data” instead of misleading values.
  • EMA cloud fixed. In v2, hiding the EMA lines also hid the cloud. They are now independent.
  • Alerts per grade, plus fakeout, after-fakeout, retest, TP and stop alerts, all with levels in the detailed messages. A “Show grades” setting (A and B only by default).
  • Everything from Breakout Pro: non-repainting higher-timeframe filter, time-of-day relative volume, profiles with Custom, ADX and EMA filters, session and premium/discount filters, retest entry helper and the shared Risk Helper (ATR default, anchored, tick-rounded, hits tracked).
  • The grade does the filtering. Out of the box the EMA, ADX, higher-timeframe and relative volume filters are off and only A and B breakouts are shown. Every filter is still there to switch on.
